I think I've cracked it!
It's a pretty fair assumption that when the tulac hospital ship collided with Jamie (the empty child) it should have killed him.
It's also fairly obvious that something (I'm thinking Jack's nanites, given his insistence that the ship was nothing but a shell) attempted to repair him. Or read him as being the template for the human race. As the Doctor said, "Human DNA is being re-written. By an idiot." Or by something that sees Jamie as being the natural form of humanity, and is replicating itself. (which is why anyone he's touched has his injuries replicated - the crushed skull, chest damage and gas mask melted onto the facial features, along with the cut on the back of the hand)
Someone postulated that Nancy isn't his sister as she claimed. She's his mother. Which is an interesting point, but what made me sit bolt upright and scream "HOLY SHIT" when it poked its way into my brain was....
It's following her. It's ALWAYS following her. It showed up in the alleyway where the TARDIS was, and gee whiz, guess where Nancy was. Same with the house, and the impact site for the tulac ship.
What if...
What if it's deliberately searching her out for another reason? I've been thinking it's searching her out purely because all that's left of poor Jamie's mind is trying to find his sister. (and yes, I know he calls for mummy, but small kids who've lost their parents tend to call an older sibling by a parental name as a coping mechanism - especially if that sibling is female. Then there's the whole she's his mother theory)
What if it's not Jamie looking for her? What if the reason it's looking for is because she matches his DNA? The repair job isn't completed. It needs to get the final template to repair him. And it keeps searching, and touching, sampling and finding non-compatible DNA samples, which just replicates the injury. The nanites would be severely FUCKED in programming to do this, I can't see anyone trying to program that in deliberately, but hey, they've been thrown through time a couple thousand times :)
Or maybe...it's both. The frightened remenants of a child's mind trying to find his sister/mother, and the nanites searching for a compatible template....
ooooooo Fuck cannot wait until I DL the ep now *wriggles*

Nothing to say really. I'm not a fan of this Dr, nor his assistant. My first impression of Nancy was that she wasn't human. There was something too calm, too knowing about her.

I quite like ecclescake. But I agree with you on Rose - god almighty, I thought it was just me thinking that she's becoming more and more of a slag as the episodes drift by, but torasin agrees. Piff her off and bring on Jack! :D Good point on Nancy though - she's hidin' something. Although come to think of it, living in a city that's getting the living shit bombed out of it every night and twice on sundays plus getting chased about by an undead four year old would make the rest of life rather mundane...
Have you heard the rumour of her replacement? Believe me, she is a blonde bimbo who was in a minor soap for a few years, and is best known for posing almost nude for any publication that will pay her.
Mundane it would be indeed...

I'm hoping this is absolute bullshit. Much like the disinformation spread they had when the series was being shot (with the crappy theme, and all the eps being set in cardiff, etc :)
We do NOT need another blonde dipshit on the TARDIS. Unless she's being used as cannon fodder - for fucks sake, they've PROVED they have the plot lines to keep people watching, they don't need a goddamn bit of tottie to keep people watching.

Dangit, this sounds like a really fun series. I wish American TV had something this cool...I'd probably actually watch it, unlike most television besides some sports and the occasional good Simpsons rerun. Other than that...oh, the banality! Anything that makes you think gets cancelled within thirteen episodes over here. ;p

I know, look what they did to Sunset Beach, after all:P That was a hoot, and they cancelled it. Thankfully the UK has decided to re-run it.
